Internship
I'm SO thrilled school is done!!! It's amazing working with clients and great attorneys and learning more about how I can serve the needs of the public and how great it feels to develop solutions to people's legal issues! I am so stoked to be working at such an amazing firm, doing public interest work. It reminds me of why I came to law school, and has also taught me that not all attorneys are arrogant, money-grubbing a-holes who are just here to exploit the system! I can't even say that about the majority of my law school colleagues, but the ones who are like that just make me so angry! Anyway, everyone has their own life to lead, and I certainly should not judge others and their values, because having different ideals in no way makes me superior to them! I certainly couldn't live my life that way though. :)
STD Fever (lmao)!
I'm SO thrilled that my save the dates are done!!!!! We're getting married on a busy weekend so we wanted to ensure that everyone had as much time as possible to plan for the wedding!!!!
I worked with Shirlene of Woodchicks Studios to create these. I had to have them the moment I saw that they were printed on real wood. It's amazing, they're very light and thin, but still wood! I came up with the design (I told her what I wanted them to look like) and she created them. For the price, and custom art work, I cannot believe how lucky I am to have found Shirlene! I'm obsessed! I can't believe we're one step closer to being married (yaaaaay!!!!!)
Here's a link to Shirlene's etsy shop! If you want something unique, creative and beautiful for your wedding, or anything else you need an invitation for, browse through her shop. The turnaround time was fantastic, and Shirlene's patience, talent and professionalism cannot be beat! I really want our wedding to reflect our lives, we are peaceful, earthy, unique individuals, and I feel that our STDs display that.

Done with school, progressing with planning (yay)
Wow I did it! I've been on vacation for the last two weeks and it feels incredible! Sleeping in, not stressing about reading enough, and enjoying time with my man, I couldn't ask for anything more. After my last final I went on vacation to Venice and beautiful Long Beach, for some shenanigans with my lovely lady friends! I had so much fun, and I even left my precious lil MacBook at home and tried not to crackberry too much! :) I look forward to catching up on blogs, I can't believe how obsessed I've gotten with reading other people's style ideas, wedding planning tips, and just gaining insight into the lives of other women. It's really entertaining. :)
My birfday was Monday yay! I can't believe I'm still alive. lol after the crazy shizz I used to do as a teenager that's a very true statement. I'm definitely getting old because I was thrilled to have nothing to do all day and relax! My love and I went to Golden Gate Park (who knew there were bison there?! Apparently he did!) and then to Ocean Beach to watch the sun set and have a picnic. It was freezing but amazing. :)
It feels amazing to be planning our wedding without it being a form of procrastination. I visited our venue Franciscan Gardens and checked out the gorgeous renovations!
I can't believe we're a year away. Our save the dates are almost complete, I have picked our theme (silhouettes and wood) and have a general idea of how I want the decor to look, centerpieces are figured out I just have to pick the flowers. Now I just need to find a way to ball it on a budget so I can get the look I want without spending too much $$$$. Needless to say I'm thrilled!!!!!

One down, one to go!
Yay, one more final until I am officially a 2L!!! I can't believe this year has flown by so quickly. I'm excited because now I get to focus on my internship, which will be amazing, and I get to continue with wedding planning. Even though it's a little over a year away, we're so much closer to being married. :) Life is great.
